01 / The concept
Less space.
A different presence.
Anacleto Spazzapan’s research begins with reduction: seeking lightness, limiting dimensions and avoiding anything superfluous. The chair remains the starting point, even as its form changes.
Here, the ability to fold five chairs becomes the principle behind a composition. Each element’s compact footprint allows the chairs to be arranged vertically, giving them an unexpected presence in the space.
The five chairs were built together, conceived from the outset to form this column. This is the first realisation of the composition; the chairs can be reproduced, and other models with the same form exist.

Aluminium.
Assembled by hand.
The aluminium structures are assembled by hand, without welding, using screws, threaded rods and caps. Every chair carries an AS plaque.
